Seeing yourself as an ally is an important step in becoming an advocate for full trans/gender nonbinary inclusion. Unfortunately, just feeling allyship doesn’t do much to change the people and environments around us. And while research shows that while overwhelming majorities of people identify as allies to the LGBTQ community, many have never taken action to actively demonstrate their support. In this session, participants will learn more about what journeys to allyship look like and how to ensure that you are connecting each step in the ally journey with impactful actions. More importantly, we’ll cover how to respond in the toughest moments of conflict through learning new strategies and then putting these skills to work in real-world scenario response teams. Think you’ve got the skills to be a super ally for change? Find out and put them to work here!
